MERIDIAN, Idaho – The Eagle Mustangs defeated the Mountain View Mavericks 47-36 Monday night and will advance to the district championship game against the Owyhee Storm. The Mustangs were led in scoring by senior Donovan Jones with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Tyler Peters also chipped in 9 points including a buzzer-beater-runner from the 3-point line to close out the first quarter.
The Mustangs matchup on Friday night against the Storm will be their second of the season. Eagle was victorious in the first game in a 4-overtime thriller at home.
