Cody Pickett
Head Coach
Cody Pickett took over as the Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach in 2020. Before that he coached the Eagle Girls Varsity Basketball team for six years (2013-2019). Over those six years he posted a 137-49 (74%) record, won two district titles, qualified for the state tournament six times and from 2017-2019 he had the Mustangs playing in three consecutive state title games. In 2019, Eagle won its first state title in program history.
Ron Fortner
Assistant Coach
Ron Fortner brings 40+ years of coaching to the boys varsity program. Previously, Fortner was the head coach of the Pepperdine women’s team for 10 years. He also coached the varsity team at Caldwell High School from 1995-2002. Most recently, Coach Fortner worked alongside Coach Picket for 6 years as the assistant varsity coach of the Lady Mustangs. Ron brings a wealth of basketball knowledge having worked basketball camps with legendary coaches like John Wooden and Bobby Knight.
